English loanwords have increasingly found their way into the Uzbek language, offering a unique form of lexical enrichment that reflects broader trends in globalization, technology, and cultural exchange. This article explores the sources and impact of English loanwords in Uzbek, discussing how they contribute to vocabulary expansion and cultural connection while posing challenges to linguistic integrity and cultural identity. We examine key categories where English loanwords are most prevalent, such as technology, popular culture, business, and education, highlighting the reasons behind their adoption. Although these loanwords provide Uzbek speakers with the ability to discuss modern concepts and engage with international discourse, their widespread use has sparked debates about the preservation of the Uzbek language's distinct character. Through a detailed analysis, this article aims to shed light on the evolving dynamics of linguistic borrowing and its implications for language learning and teaching in Uzbekistan.
