CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TERM "TRAGEDY" IN ENGLAND IN THE MIDDLE AGES

The word "tragedy" comes to England from Greece and begins to be used in various contexts. According to tradition, Chaucer was the first to use the concept in English, but its use was recorded long before Chaucer's time. However, it is not always used correctly. This article reveals different interpretations of the term "Tragedy".
