Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) share a strong bidirectional relationship, contributing to high morbidity and mortality worldwide. Insulin resistance (IR) has been identified as a significant factor exacerbating cardiovascular risks in renal patients, creating a vicious cycle of disease progression. This study explores the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms linking CKD and CVD, including inflammation, vascular dysfunction, and the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). Additionally, common risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia further accelerate the development of both conditions.
