Abstract

This article gives information about the proverbs and their usage in the English language and in the uzbek language. Additionally, the similarities and differences are given when they are used in these two different languages. Moreover, by the help of this article we can be awared of about the natural-cultural and characteristics of proverbs in the english and uzbek languages. In addition, it will be observed that in this article you will see that the utilization of some proverbs from english and uzbek languages in some famous writers’ works. Some of proverbs are analyzed in some apporopriate examples and works.
