Abstract

Listening comprehension remains one of the most challenging yet essential skills for language learners. The use of authentic audio materials, such as interviews, podcasts, radio programs, and conversational dialogues, has gained prominence as a method for enhancing learners’ abilities to understand real-life language use. This article is devoted to highlight how authentic audio sources can improve listening comprehension by providing learners with exposure to natural speech patterns, varied accents, and contextualized language use. Practical recommendations for incorporating these materials into classroom practice are also provided, emphasizing the role of active listening and strategies.
